Celebrities Rude To Their Fans: 15 Celebrities Who Have Lost Our Respect

Featured Video

On TV they appear to be the most friendly people ever. Mind you, that’s never the reality. Some celebrities easily get fed up with the massive attention towards them. When facing their devoted fans, some celebs have reported being majorly disappointing in person because of their rudeness. They could be having a rough day, a break-up, or probably some mental stress. Whatever the reason might be, being rude is never the right option.

Every person has a point where they lose it and these celebrities take no time to reach that point. On being asked about their bummers with celebrities, some Reddit and BuzzFeed Community members have reported multiple bizarre stories. Take a look at some of the most ominous ones:

1. John Mayer

A BuzzFeed Community member claims to have met John Mayer at an award show about 10 years ago, where he wouldn’t stop quoting sexist jokes from South Park. People around him laughed awkwardly and word coming out of his mouth was mean and sarcastic that people were supposed to find funny. The user tells that Mayer made a very off-putting joke to which she responded with, ‘Dude…’ Mayer made a face and said, ‘Oh, come on — don’t be a butthead.’ He called her a butthead because she didn’t laugh at his relentless joke

2. Gwyneth Paltrow

BuzzFeed community member mattymo56 worked with Gwyneth Paltrow’s children for eight weeks at a camp and got paid only $5 an hour. Parents usually tip $100 or more at the end, but she left without shedding a single penny

3. Oprah Winfrey

A Reddit user who was lifting tables at a restaurant years back had Oprah as his guest one day. Instead of tipping him on a $200 bill, Oprah decided to sign on a napkin that he never really asked for. On top of that when she walked in, the restaurant gave away all of his other tables so she didn’t have to wait for anything. The dude made $4/hour for two hours for the privilege of serving Oprah who didn’t bother tipping.

4. Patrick Stewart

A Reddit user claims to have met Patrick Stewart backstage at a comic book convention where she used to work for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. A family had requested to meet Stan Lee who had happily volunteered. During the meet and greet, many other celebrities backstage joined him and took multiple pictures with the family. On asking Patrick Stewart if he’d mind taking a picture with other celebrities as well, he said, ‘Yes, I DO mind’ and walked off.”

5. Alec Baldwin

One day in the Hamptons, A Reddit user ran into Alec Baldwin and his wife and their two dogs. She was a 6-year-old and wanted to pet their dogs. The couple had left their dogs outside of the store, so the girl was unaware that the dogs were theirs. When coming out from the store they saw the little girl with their dogs and yanked them away from me and started to yell.

6. Hugh Grant

A Reddit user who was once an airline worker had the opportunity to serve Hugh Grant on one of the flights. Grant was seated in a First Class 1A on a 747. It’s standard procedure for the cabin manager to go around to every first-class passenger and personally introduce themselves. When her manager greeted Hugh by saying, “Hello, Mr. Grant, my name is…” Hugh replied, “Oh, FUCK OFF.”

7. Katie Price

“My friend Dolly was a flight attendant for a well-known British airline, and one day she had Katie Price onboard. When she came on board and spotted Dolly, she proceeded to spend five minutes listing her demands for the flight — Katie wanted total privacy, and if anyone came near her, she wanted them to be escorted away. She also didn’t want any of the airline crew to approach her unless she called for them, and if she was bothered at all, Dolly herself would be held responsible. Dolly waited for her to finish her demands, and then said, ‘Certainly, madam — and you are?'”

8. Larry King

“One time, my mom and little brother (who was 4 years old at the time) were walking through an airport — Larry King ran into my little brother and knocked him over, and just continued walking without stopping to say sorry. I was 6 years old at the time, so I don’t personally remember this, but my mom told me all about it.”

9. Nicki Minaj

A Reddit user who worked with Nicki Minaj on a set with her claimed that she was told not to look at her face. Nicki had people move out of her room before she would come inside.

10. Pat Monahan

“Pat Monahan is from my hometown in Pennsylvania, and whenever he visits, he pisses nearly everyone off. In high school, a friend of mine worked at Cold Stone Creamery, and the rule was whenever a customer tipped an employee, the employee was required to sing a song. Well, when Pat tipped them and they started singing, he told them to shut the fuck up because they were annoying. He also said to the 15-year-old female employees that he was going to ‘buy the store and fire all of you c*nts.’ He ended up dropping his ice cream on the counter and stormed out.”

11. Idina Menzel

“Idina Menzel was set to perform at the place I worked at in college, which was filled with devoted fans of hers. She came on three hours late, and had very specific food items/demands for her green room — she was also extremely rude to everyone who worked at the facility. This was a huge facility and a venue that had hosted many more prominent acts than her.”

12. Carrie Underwood

“I’ve worked as a maintenance worker at a concert venue for a few summers and have bumped into several celebrities, but Carrie Underwood is the one who sticks out because of how demanding she always was. She refused to use a toilet if someone else had sat on the seat before her — cleaning them was never good enough, so we had to buy new toilet seats every time she came. Considering how much we already had to fix, the last thing we wanted to do was pointlessly replace perfectly good toilet seats. In contrast, Reba McEntire would always eat lunch with the staff and was always super chill.”

13. Lilly Allen

“Once I met Mark Ronson at a music festival in the UK — my ex-boyfriend was a huge fan, so he asked for a picture. He was really cool and happy to be chatting with us, but there was someone standing next to him who repeatedly rolled her eyes at the two of us: Lily Allen. She continuously whined, ‘Mark, Mark, Mark’ while my ex was chatting with him — at one point she actually stomped her foot and gave us the finger when Mark’s back was turned around. We had acknowledged her, but she just rolled her eyes at us.”

14. William Shatner

A Reddit user tells that when she was 10 years old, she was in Hawaii where she met William Shatner. William promised he would give her an autograph and said, ‘Let me get a pen,’ then ran into his limo and drove off.
