Pedro Pascal and Oscar Issac, one of the most beloved duos in Hollywood, share a longstanding friendship that predates their rise to prominence in the entertainment industry. Following their on-screen collaboration in the 2019 film Triple Frontier, they have also featured in the Star Wars franchise. Earlier this year, the Across the Spider-Verse actor also expressed his desire for Pascal to join the cast of the next film in the series.
With Pascal reportedly being one of the top contenders to play Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic in the MCU, fans are also anticipating seeing the two together in the MCU soon.
Pedro Pascal Reportedly Eyed to Play Reed Richards in the MCU
Since Marvel Studios’ head, Kevin Feige revealed that they would be introducing Marvel’s first family, Fantastic Four, in the MCU in the upcoming phases, there have been several rumors about the potential cast of the film. From John Krasinski to Dev Patel, the list includes several Hollywood stars.
And the most recent name in the cast includes The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal. Deadline has recently reported that the 48-year-old actor is in talks to play Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, in the upcoming film Fantastic Four.
Sources have also shared that the negotiations are headed in the right direction for the actor, and the scheduling is being worked out. Pascal has several upcoming projects, including Gladiator 2 and HBO’s The Last Of Us Season 2.
While the studio has not said anything about the rumored casting as of yet, fans have shared their excitement for his potential MCU casting, especially after an image of the Narcos star went viral with his friend and fellow actor Oscar Issac, who plays Moon Knight in the MCU.

Pedro Pascal and Oscar Issac have shared the screen in the 2019 film Triple Frontier. In a recent tweet, the two are seen together celebrating the 2021 New Year side by side with a snippet of Moon Knight and Reed Richards’ adventures from West Coast Avengers #23.
With Issac already playing Moon Knight in the franchise and Pascal’s potential casting rumors, fans are now more eager to see them together on-screen. Both of them are known to be great friends, and would surely have great on-screen chemistry as well.
