After the announcement of the series, many fans were confused as to whether Marvel will continue the Masked superhero’s story or not. In one of the recent interviews, lead actor Charlie Cox has already confirmed that the series is a reboot and will have no links to the past series.

” It’s a season 1, it is not season 4, so it’s a whole new thing.”

Even though, Marvel will be taking the superhero’s story to a different level. The former showrunner still thinks that it’s like a fourth season of the canceled Netflix series.

In an interview with the news outlet Screenrant, Erik Oleson shared a few words on the upcoming Matt Murdock reboot. He expressed his excitement for the series and refused to give any more insider information about it. Oleson mentions that he already knew the series was going to come as he heard it from his Marvel community friends.

“I’m rooting for them. I don’t have any inside information for you. I knew it was going to happen just from rumblings through friends in the grapevine of the Marvel family. But I really don’t know what they’re planning yet. We used pieces of Born Again in our season. I still call [Daredevil: Born Again] season 4, but they’re trying to insist it isn’t, so I’ll go along with whatever they want to call it.”

Oleson revealed that he is a big fan of the Daredevil cast including Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. He is happy for the cast as they are getting the opportunity to make more shows. He looks forward to what the show has in store for the audience and hopes that it would be great.
