Charlize Theron Was Shocked to Learn Seth Rogen’s History With Adult Film Star
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show alongside Charlize Theron, Zac Efron, and Matthew Broderick, Seth Rogen was asked about his experience working with the adult film star Stormy Daniels. “I did work – not in a p*rn film,” Rogen specified.
Rogen explained that adult film stars were the best option to film a naked scene in a movie. “It’s not a situation where you’re, like, convincing a mainstream actress to get n-ked,” he said. Theron, caught off guard by this revelation, responded with a surprised “What?!”
Appearing a bit uneasy at her response, Rogen said, “Don’t say it like that.” The Emmy nominee further explained that Daniels had quick cameos in Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. As the Fast X actress shook her head and said, “Wow!” Efron quipped in, asking, “You never told her.”
The 48-year-old actress stated that she learned so many new things about her Long Shot co-star on The Graham Norton Show. When asked if the Neighbors star was considering Stormy Daniels for their film as well, Rogen said that there were talks to feature in the movie.
Seth Rogen Was Intimidated by Charlize Theron
Seth Rogen, who shared the screen with Charlize Theron in the 2019 romantic comedy, shared that he was “incredibly intimidated” by the idea of working with the Oscar-winning actress. He shared his thoughts at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Breakfast while presenting his co-star with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award.
“[I was] incredibly intimidated to work with her, not just because of how talented she is,” he said, talking about Theron. Rogen further stated that he was “literally physically intimidated” by her presence, as “she murders people in every movie she does.”
However, he shared that they got along pretty well and have remained friends despite their movie’s box office failure. While their film received positive reviews, and both Theron and Rogen were praised for their chemistry, it underperformed at the box office, grossing $53 million on a $40 million budget.
Long Shot is available on Prime Video.
