Chris Hemsworth Helped His Younger Brother For An Audition!

Portraying the role of the God of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth found worldwide fame as he formed one of the OG Avengers since the inception of the MCU. However, it was revealed that both brothers were in competition for the role and that Liam Hemsworth was in the top 5 actors!

When the younger brother was deemed too young to portray the role of the God of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth was roped in to bring the character of Thor to life. The latter actor did make it up to The Last Song actor by practicing with him as revealed in an interview on MTV (via GeekTyrant).

“[On practicing with Liam Hemsworth in the character of Katniss Everdeen] I did. Swear to God. I read that. Put my girly American accent on.” 

Well, luckily for the younger brother, Liam Hemsworth was selected for the role of Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games franchise which went on to win a whopping $3.2 billion across four movies at the global box office. The fame of the franchise also helped Liam Hemsworth establish himself as a solid actor following which he found fame and more movies and projects to work with.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Chris Hemsworth talked about his time as Immortan Joe in the upcoming prequel titled Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Talking about the movie, the actor talked about how each frame in the movie is essential!

“Everything you see is essential, and means something, and supports the characters’ journey, the narrative, the overall arc of the film, and it was exhausting in the best way. All of us showed up and were willing to commit and throw ourselves on the line to service this journey and this film and this franchise that has existed for forty-something years now.”

With director George Miller hailing the film as its director, Furiosa will star Anya Taylor-Joy as the titular character while Hemsworth will portray the role of Immortan Joe in the movie. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is set for a release date of 24th May, 2024 in the U.S.
