Chris Hemsworth’s Elder Brother Luke Wanted to Replace Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Way Before Liam Hemsworth Dethroned Henry Cavill’s Witcher

Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth’s elder brother Luke Hemsworth is a prominent name in the television industry. The three siblings have literally taken over the entertainment industry with their sexy accents, handsome looks, and acting skills. Luke Hemsworth is known for his work in the HBO sci-fi series Westworld. But the actor has bigger dreams and wishes to reprise Huge Jackman’s role of Wolverine.

The Death of Me actor expressed his desire to play the role of Wolverine after Hugh Jackman announced his retirement from the role.

Luke Hemsworth wants to play X-men star Hugh Jackman’s role

It seems like all three Hemsworth brothers wish to enter the comic book heroes’ world and be part of the superhit films. Chris Hemsworth plays the lead in Thor: Love and Thunder, and Liam Hemsworth recently dethroned Henry Cavill’s character in The Witcher. Luke Hemsworth also made his superhero film debut with Thor.

The actor expressed a desire to play the role of Wolverine in the X-men series. In an interview with Screen Rant, he confided that he would love to play Hugh Jackman’s character on-screen. He also shared about his passion and enthusiasm for superheroes and comic books since his childhood.

Hemsworth revealed his thoughts about playing another superhero,

“I would love to. I grew up with them. I learned to draw through comic books, copying comic books since I was about 10 years old. Spawn was a big one for me; I really loved Todd McFarlane’s Spawn. And then Batman – I would have fought Rob Pattinson for those gauntlets. And Wolverine! I’m like, “Come on, just pass them on, mate. Let’s give it to another Aussie.” I’ll have to grow some chest hair, but I’m ready for Wolverine.”

Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo had earlier shared his thoughts that Marvel should wait a bit between Jackman’s performance and another actor taking up the character. Logan was released in 2016.

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the X-Men series

Wolverine is a role that is very dear to ace actor Hugh Jackman. In conversation with Good Morning America, Hugh Jackman revealed that Wolverine was his first-ever movie in America. He said that he didn’t have high hopes when the film was released. Hugh Jackman kept giving auditions in Los Angeles to get something if Wolverine failed. The star said that it still surprises and thrills him, as he never knew he would end up playing the role several times after the first film.

Hugh Jackman played the role of Wolverine in multiple movies since the debut of X-Men in 2000. The actor is all set to reprise his role in Marvel’s upcoming Ryan Reynolds movie, Deadpool 3.

Deadpool 3 will release in theatres worldwide on 3rd May 2024.
