Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence have starred together in only one film- 2016’s Passengers. The film grossed only $302 million on a $110 million budget and received middling reviews. As such, it didn’t do much for their careers, but there’s one thing that’s still remembered from the film.

The promotional interviews the two stars did are still discussed because of how uniquely funny some of them are. In one such case, they had to trade playground insults and while most of them were tame, some of them hit too hard, like when Pratt insulted the X-Men star for a stupid franchise.

Both of them have starred in Marvel films although in different divisions. Pratt is a part of the MCU with the Guardians of the Galaxy films among others, while Lawrence was a part of Fox’s X-Men films. She starred in a total of four of them as Mystique- X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse, and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Fox’s X-Men franchise did well at the box office, grossing a collective $2.4 billion over the span of about two decades. However, they never quite generated the amount of enthusiasm that the MCU at its peak did. Today, Fox is under Disney and the X-Men franchise will be rebooted.

It has been rumored for long that the appearances of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 or Patrick Stewart as Professor X in Doctor Strange 2 are meant to be goodbyes. Specifically, to these versions of the characters before the MCU reboots them.

Although, there’s also speculation that the Fox X-Men versions can come back in Avengers: Secret Wars. So maybe seeing Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique again is still a possibility. But whether that will happen or not remains to be seen. But regarding the trading of insults, Lawrence did get her lick back in with Pratt.

In the contest of trading playground insults, Chris Pratt dealt the first major blow by basically implying that the Fox Marvel films Jennifer Lawrence starred in were stupid. But the Red Sparrow star fired back with a lethal insult that disrupted the MCU star’s ego. She said:

“Where do you keep your Oscar?”

Pratt had no answer to this question and some fans even noted that his face fell when the realization hit him. Jennifer Lawrence won her Oscar for Best Actress for the film Silver Linings Playbook. While the Jurassic World star doesn’t have the golden statue yet, he can earn it in the future.
