The Clone Wars Fans Are Beyond Excited

Considering the deep connection between Ahsoka and Captain Rex established during their time together in The Clone Wars, it is logical for Temuera Morrison’s portrayal of Rex in the upcoming Ahsoka series. Their bond was further emphasized in Rebels when Ahsoka enlisted Rex and other surviving clones’ help. Although Rex’s fate in the New Republic era remains unknown, it is possible that he may appear in flashbacks. But it’s enough to cause a stir among the fans.

Additionally, the report highlights the admiration of Lucasfilm executives for the exceptional execution of the series, which played a significant role in Dave Filoni securing his own Star Wars movie. This film will culminate the ongoing narrative that commenced with The Mandalorian and will persist through Ahsoka and future projects. According to the reports, the fate of a second season of the Rosario Dawson-led series will hinge on the first season’s performance.

Having portrayed Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones and Commander Cody in Revenge of the Sith, Temuera Morrison returned as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian season 2 and subsequently in The Book of Boba Fett. He also made a cameo appearance as an unnamed clone in Obi-Wan Kenobi. While originally planned for The Mandalorian’s third season, his involvement was ultimately scrapped.

Why Is Temuera Morrison Not Happy With Lucasfilm

Recently, the actor expressed dissatisfaction towards Lucasfilm, feeling that The Book of Boba Fett diverted attention away from his character to focus on Din Djarin in a few episodes.

“Well, that Mando guy stole a few chapters of my book. It was painful watching him turn up with some black new lethal sword. And the way he turned up in my Book of Boba, he just destroyed everybody. I’m sure this guy is…ah…ruining my show. But I couldn’t say anything. I’m not the writer, so I have to bear it I guess.”

While an official announcement regarding a second season of The Book of Boba Fett is yet to be made, if Temuera Morrison’s involvement in Ahsoka is confirmed, it indicates the continued interest of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni in collaborating with him. Morrison will probably make appearances in future seasons of The Mandalorian and/or Filoni’s Star Wars film, showcasing the enduring partnership between the actor and the creative team.
