Fans are in for a treat as Call of Duty Next 2024 is right around the corner, containing some major announcements. One of the most anticipated reveals is the Black Ops 6 multiplayer gameplay, the trailer for which is set to drop on Monday.
The event, scheduled for Wednesday, August 28, is expected to showcase the latest content, including a full reveal of the Black Ops 6 multiplayer mode and a brand-new Zombies map.
What to Expect from Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Reveal
The Black Ops 6 multiplayer reveal is definitely the event’s biggest highlight, and players are very excited to see the official reveal. Fans already know a bit about what’s coming, like the Omnimovement feature, new maps, and the return of some favorite weapons.

This new movement system is pretty much a game-changer, allowing players to dive and slide in any direction, which is going to shake up the gameplay quite a bit. The event will dive into these features, giving a more detailed look at how they’ll play out in the game, along with a few more reveals.

Another big piece of news is the open beta for Black Ops 6’s multiplayer, which will be available from September 6 to September 9. This beta is open to all players across all platforms, and it’s a great chance for fans to get hands-on with the new movement system, and also check out a variety of new maps, weapons, equipment, and perks.
Fans who pre-ordered the game will get a chance to try out the closed beta a week early, on August 30 onwards.
Adding to the anticipation are recent leaks from the game’s multiplayer mode, with some footage making its way online before being taken down. Even though the videos didn’t stay up for long, they gave thousands of fans a sneak peek at the game’s action.
This is just the latest in a number of leaks surrounding Black Ops 6, which has only fueled the hype as the official reveal draws closer.
The Campaign Sneak Peek at Gamescom
While the multiplayer reveal is stealing the spotlight, the Black Ops 6 campaign also has fans talking. The campaign gameplay demo, first shown at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, takes players back to the early 1990s, right after the Cold War, where familiar characters like Frank Woods and Russell Adler are set to uncover a wild conspiracy.
The Most Wanted mission was showcased where players try to rescue Adler from a black site, but things quickly spiral out of control, making for some intense gameplay with set pieces and action sequences.
The campaign seems packed with action, from taking down enemies in melee combat to capturing compromising images and collecting evidence, and drew comparisons to Hitman.
There’s also a strong possibility of quick-time events making an appearance. The trailer also contained a look at the Omnimovement feature, which is set to be a key part of both the campaign and multiplayer modes.
With so much coming up, Call of Duty Next 2024 is shaping up to be a must-watch event for any fan of the series.
