Just when fans thought they had seen it all, Conor McGregor took to Twitter to hint that he may be making a comeback at UFC 300. The enigmatic former UFC champion posted a cryptic message, leaving fans to speculate in anticipation. Is this a sign of a massive comeback? Well, the excitement is certainly palpable among fans and fighters alike.

The 35-year-old former UFC champ first quit the sport in April 2016. In March 2019, he again announced he was hanging up his gloves, but on both occasions, the retirements were short-lived.  In 2020, he announced on Twitter that he was retiring from the sport for the third time.

To be sure, MMA fans are going crazy over his latest cryptic tweet hinting at a possible return for UFC 300. He wrote “McGregor on 300 seals the deal” in a post on X, emphasizing that his addition to the card might be the last piece needed to complete the picture. Adding fuel to the fire, the Notorious recently showed off his acting ability in the latest Road House film trailer.

Conor McGregor Teases About His UFC 300 Appearance

Intrigue ensues as Conor McGregor, the renowned Irish mixed martial artist, 35, sets the world of MMA abuzz with excitement about his possible return at UFC 300. For the unversed, the Ultimate Fighting Championship will host UFC 300, a mixed martial arts event, taking place on April 13, 2024. 

Following much anticipation and delay, the former two-division UFC champion is scheduled to return to the octagon later this year. As per Eurosport, McGregor initially withdrew from the competition in April 2016. He again announced his retirement on X in March 2019, but both times it was only temporary.

Moreover, he made it obvious on Twitter in 2020 that he was retiring from the sport for the third time.

However, recently, the Notorious did hint at a possible comeback at the next mixed martial arts event, which is set for April 13 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. He shared the following on Twitter:

Surprisingly, McGregor has dabbled in acting in addition to his obvious skills in the octagon. His latest endeavor includes a role in the upcoming Doug Liman film Road House, a remake of the 1989 film of the same name.

Recently, the trailer for the remake of 1989’s Road House film was released, offering fans a glimpse into Conor McGregor’s acting skills. The Irish sensation appeared to effortlessly draw in the audience, causing many to be impressed by his on-screen presence. The former double champion appeared to be participating in visually stunning fight scenes with Jake Gyllenhaal‘s character, Elwood Dalton.

The entire cast of the Road House remake is shown in a 2.48-minute trailer, and Billy Magnussen appears to be playing the main antagonist. As per Screen Rant, McGregor will portray Knox, Dalton’s physical adversary, and the former is giving a really intense performance. Additionally, it is revealed that Jessica Williams will portray the bar owner, and Daniela Melchior will play a nurse who happens to be Dalton’s romantic interest.

The upcoming Doug Liman film is an adaptation by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry.

Road House will be available on Prime Video starting on March 21, 2024.
