Overnight after the success of the series, all eyes were on the 50-year-old actor. As the New World actor was being applauded by fans, his past criminal records and homophobic statements also came to light. Now that Jung-Jae will be coming back to the popular series once again, he has reportedly demanded $1 million per episode.

This news is receiving mixed reactions on the internet. Some people even stated that the Deliver Us From Evil actor is charging money like he is Beyonce or Leonardo DiCaprio. JJung-jae’s fans claimed on the internet that the actor was being reasonable and that he deserves the amount because of his popularity. One online commenter stated that the South Korean actor should receive considerably higher compensation from the Squid Game makers because they made billions through his incredible acting. But some fans also recalled his criminal past where he was accused of two big offenses.

The 50-year-old actor ran his BMW into another vehicle on September 13, 1999. The actor’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.222% at the time, indicating that he was drunk. According to reports, the actor from the film Interview disputed the charges and said that his manager was behind the wheel. On August 22, 2000, Gangnam police detained Jung-Jae again for drunk driving. His blood alcohol level was 0.054% and the actor confessed that he had consumed three bottles of beer at a bar.
