Michael B. Jordan Talks About Expanding Creed Universe

Speaking with Screen Rant, Jordan talked about exploring the Creed-verse and that there are more surprises in store for the fans:

You will see the Creed-verse continue to grow and expand. I think that we invested in some really interesting characters that I think a lot of people were responding to. I have to give a political answer to that. There’s going to be more of the Creed family, and there’s gonna be more of some of the characters that you love from this movie.”

With a successful career and a roster of upcoming projects, Jordan admits he still has to prove himself. He shared with Variety:

I’m not ignorant of the blessings and opportunities that I’m given. At the same time, I still feel like I have something to prove. I still feel like I want to make people proud. I want to make myself proud — so I’m constantly trying to raise the bar.”

The actor also confessed that filming Creed 3 allowed him to face his own demons. He called it his “therapy session”:

We’ve all dealt with childhood trauma in one way, shape, or form. As a man, you know, sometimes we’re taught that we can’t talk about those things and speak about our feelings as much. I want it to show a representation of what that looks like.”

Creed 3 is expected to sweep the box office and knock out other titles in theaters in the coming weeks. With a promising theatrical debut and positive reception from the public, the franchise is set to create its own universe in no time.
