The highly anticipated return of Charlie Cox’s portrayal of Daredevil in the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again has generated significant buzz within the entertainment industry. The 18-episode first season is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2024, and will feature the return of Vincent D’Onofrio as the nefarious Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin.
The news of the revival of Daredevil was officially announced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige during a panel at the prestigious Comic-Con’s Hall H. Since then fans are eager to know more about the revival of the loved series.
Recently it has been revealed that Nikki M. James, has been cast in Marvel’s upcoming revival series Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+.
Nikki M. James: A Tony Award-Winning Actress Joins the Cast of Daredevil: Born Again
Nikki M. James is a highly accomplished actress, known for her award-winning performances on Broadway and in film and television. She is best known for her role as Nabalungi in the hit Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, which earned her the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Her recent work includes the world premiere production of Shaina Taub’s Suffs at The Public Theater, as well as appearances in the Focus Features film Spoiler Alert and television shows such as Severance, Proven Innocent, and Braindead.

In addition to her acting career, Nikki M James has also worked as a director, helming episodes of The Bite and The Good Fight, and serving as an assistant director for productions such as the Broadway revival of Once On This Island and A Christmas Carol starring Jefferson Mays. She is represented by Paradigm, Liebman Entertainment, and Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz.
Daredevil: Born Again Continues the Legacy of a Beloved Series
The announcement of a new series centered on Charlie Cox‘s Daredevil character has been eagerly anticipated by devoted fans since the cancellation of Netflix’s Daredevil in 2018 following three seasons. Speculation about a revival of the series began to circulate following Cox’s reprisal of the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Vincent D’Onofrio’s portrayal of the main antagonist, Kingpin, in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.

These rumors intensified with the recent transfer of the Marvel Netflix series, including Daredevil and The Defenders, to Disney+ after the rights to the titles reverted back to the company. In May, it was announced that a new Daredevil series, Daredevil: Born Again was in development at Disney+ with the creators of Covert Affairs, Matt Corman and Chris Ord, attached as writers and executive producers.

In addition to Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, James joins previously announced cast members Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, and Sandrine Holt for Daredevil: Born Again. Although details about her character have yet to be disclosed as Marvel declined to comment on the news. More and more suspense and expections are forming regarding the revival of the series. Fans are holding their breathe to see Matt Murdock in action once again.
