New reports revealing some behind-the-scenes details about Daredevil: Born Again have disclosed that makers had taken a different approach to introducing the titular hero in the MCU. Marking Charlie Cox’s return as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. The project went under development earlier this year before facing a halt due to the writers’ strike.
However, a new report from The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the studio is now looking for new writers for the series, as they have let go of the head writers, Chris Ord and Matt Corman, and are planning a significant creative reboot.
The Superhero Showed Up Quite Late in Daredevil: Born Again
Daredevil: Born Again has been one of the highly anticipated series of Marvel’s upcoming phases. However, the new updates about the show don’t seem too pleasing, as reports have revealed that the studio is planning to revamp the TV series after a reported assessment by Marvel head Kevin Feige.
Daredevil is among some of the Marvel characters who have had their shows. Charlie Cox starred in the three-season Netflix series, which has been highly praised by fans and critics alike. However, as per The Hollywood Reporter, unlike the Netflix version, the Marvel adaptation was highly focused on legal procedurals.
The lead star of the series didn’t allegedly show up in his costume until the fourth episode. Reports claimed that considering the development of the series so far, the studio is now looking for new writers and directors, with the hope of giving the series a new direction.
Less than half of the series shoot was reportedly completed before production stopped due to the strike. The studio is planning to use some of these scenes, and Chris Ord and Matt Corman will reportedly be associated as executive producers with the upcoming show.

Vincent D’Onofrio, known for playing Daredevil’s nemesis Kingpin, has become the first cast member to respond to the recent reports surrounding Daredevil: Born Again. The actor responded to an X(Twitter) user after they tagged one of his previous tweets about the show, saying, “Well, now this aged poorly.”
D’Onofrio replied to the tweet, suggesting that X users should not make any assumptions if they don’t really know what’s going on behind the scenes. “We are going to bring forward the best series we can. One we can be proud of,” he said in his tweet.

Daredevil: Born Again is reportedly eying a January 2025 premiere.
