Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man Is Reportedly Joining Spider-Man 4

As per industry insider DanielRPK, Marvel Studios is reportedly considering Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man to join Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. While this remains to be confirmed, fans speculate that the character’s addition to the movie would potentially lay the groundwork for Avengers: Kang Dynasty.

After surviving the Quantum Realm, Ant-Man would have to assemble a new league of heroes to fight against a greater threat like Jonathan Majors’ Kang The Conqueror. Many feel that the character’s possible cameo does not make any sense, but who knows what Marvel Studios has in store for fans?

Meanwhile, Holland has seemingly confirmed that there had been discussions about the return of the famed superhero, though he did not give any specifics as to the crucial details of the project. He said during a press conference with the Critics Choice Association via Deadline:

All I can say is that we have been actively engaging in conversations about what it could potentially look like for a fourth rendition of my character. Whether or not we can find a way to do justice to the character is another thing.”

Kevin Feige also announced back in February that the writers have already been weaving the script for Spider-Man 4 via Entertainment Weekly:

All I will say is that we have the story. We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.”

Holland remains enthusiastic about reprising his role as Spider-Man after his long break from Marvel Cinematic Universe. He admits owing his success to the franchise, and it would be foolish not to suit up again, so he is willing to make another movie once they find the right story to tell.

The report of Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man joining Spider-Man 4 seems to upset fans. Many believe it is unnecessary to put him together with Peter Parker, while others think there are many street-level heroes more deserving of the spot. Check out their reactions below:

Charlie Cox’s Daredevil has been a popular bet among fans to join Spider-Man 4 following his MCU debut, though Ant-Man’s potential cameo may also be beneficial in the long run. As with any rumors, this should be taken with a small grain of salt.
