The MCU’s production schedule is lined with several projects that have yet to arrive in the franchise, but still, are heavily anticipated by the audience, especially after their announcements. Among them, Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming MCU debut film Deadpool 3 is also set to be a major project that will further push the narrative of the cinematic universe.
While it may have been confirmed that the film will be in theatres next year, they still haven’t decided what the film will be titled. Sure, Deadpool 3 is what people are expecting it to be named, but that’s not the official title of the film. Filmmaker Shawn Levy has some names, one of which is so cringe that it can ruin the film.
Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 May Have An Official Title That Can Ruin The Film
With the release of Deadpool 3 scheduled for the year 2024, the film must receive an official name soon so that the marketing team can get on their promotional bandwagon. While the aforementioned title seems like a fitting name for the third installment of the beloved series, it’s not the official title that the franchise is going with.
But director Shawn Levy has some names that he thinks would suit Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman‘s debut in the MCU. Frankly, after hearing them, you may not believe it.

In a recent interview with Wired, the Free Guy director talked about the list of potential names that he has in mind for the next addition to the Deadpool series. Since the motormouth mercenary would be face to face with the OG mutant Wolverine, we are bound to witness some kind of violent confrontation between the two.
Therefore, he has been thinking of names that signify that detail about the upcoming project. But naming a film as ‘Deadpool 3 with Wolvie’ may be more cringe than he may realize. He said:
“No, there’s no title yet. I sometimes refer to it as “Deadpool versus Wolverine” or “Deadpool and Wolverine” or “Deadpool 3 With Wolvie”—we’ve got a few titles we’ve been bandying about, but boy, it’s a tough one.”
What’s Deadpool 3 Going To Be About?
With the upcoming film eyeing the release date stated above, it’ll be a real challenge seeing that the SAG-AFTRA strike has been going on for quite a while now.
But during that time, we have come to know a great deal about what the movie might have in store for us. Since the official roster of the cast has added Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston as the stars that are going to be part of the film, we can be assured that Loki and Mobius will be the ones that will enable Deadpool to try out some time-jumping shenanigans.
