Marvel’s Fantastic Four has lived through several iterations. In 1994, the first ambitious Fantastic Four life-action was made starring Alex Hyde-White, Rebecca Staab, and Jay Underwood, with Joseph Culp playing Doctor Doom. However, the movie was never released. While the Chris Evans-starrer Fantastic Four movie series was popular among fans, there was an attempt from Fox to reboot the franchise in 2015 with a roster of a talented cast.

Michael B. Jordan, who starred in 2015’s Fantastic Four, recently teased that he might appear in Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool & Wolverine. Certainly, the movie has stacked an astonishing amount of surprises. Despite the release of a teaser and a trailer, the movie has managed to keep fans at bay with rumors and speculations.

Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four had a talented cast, including Michael B. Jordan playing Human Torch. The project was, again, ambitious, and Fox had plans for the characters to integrate with the X-Men franchise. Of course, it was prior to the release of the movie as Fantastic Four has a roaster of talented stars— Miles Teller playing Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Susan Storm, and Mara’s husband Jamie Bell playing Ben Grimm in the movie. However, the movie was a huge flop propelling Fox to cancel any further extension of the project.

However, Deadpool director Tim Miller had some interesting plans for the cast of the movie. Several speculations and rumors at the time suggested that the director wanted to infuse the superheroes in Deadpool 2. However, Miller left 20th Century Fox over creative differences. But prior to his departure, the director reportedly made progress with the fantastic characters. Concept artist Alexander Lozano said (per MovieWeb) that Miller had a different approach to the characters, including The Thing, to make him more comic-book accurate.

Is Deadpool & Wolverine reviving the team? Apparently, Jordan’s Human Torch is a possibility as the actor has posted the trailer of the upcoming MCU flick twice, and fans have all the good reasons to speculate about his cameo in the movie. Also, as Hugh Jackman recently responded to the Black Panther and Creed star’s potential return, it is almost impossible to refute the speculation on the horizon.

Will the entire fantastic team return in Deadpool & Wolverine? It’s hard to say, but the speculation of Jordan’s return to his character seems plausible. However, it is not beyond possibility for fans to witness the other characters as well. Fans have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to elevate the speculation.
