Rengoku was a very engaging character, and fans grew to love him as the story in the Mugen Train Arc progressed. The Flame Hashira proved himself to be a force to reckon with as his battle with Akaza was unveiled.

His death was impactful and heavy on the fans and our protagonists since Rengoku almost started to lead Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke as their brother figure in the series. Even in the last moment of his dear life, he went down with a smile.
