Ariana Grande, who is a self-proclaimed fan of the movie, had her heart set on buying the dress. However, despite her enormous wealth, she was unable to secure the dress. The Side to Side singer tried to buy the original May Queen gown worn by Florence Pugh herself in the horror movie Midsommar. Grande posted on her Instagram that multiple people had informed her about the auction of the beautiful gown. The original May Queen is made up of different 10,000 colorful silk flowers. Pugh herself encouraged the pop singer to buy the dress by revealing that the dress also has hand holes to hold and drink the wine. 

Grande, unfortunately, couldn’t match the bidding amount to buy the dress. The iconic dress was bought by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has reportedly bought the dress by paying the hefty amount of $65,000. The dress is available in the museum so that the fans of Midsommar and viewers of the museum can have a glance at the beautiful dress.
