George Clooney, a veteran actor from the early 90s has done some pretty incredible stuff over the years. From starring as Danny Ocean in Ocean’s Eleven to the protector of Gotham City in Batman and Robin, the actor has done it all.

In an article that listed Clooney’s top successful movies, it was quite shocking to see Batman and Robin being in the top 10 despite the trolling that the movie faces every day. Although George Clooney himself doesn’t like the movie, Batman and Robbin earned a whopping $238.2 million at the box office during its release.

George Clooney Regrets Batman And Robin Every Day

Despite the film being one of the most hated movies of all time, the George Clooney starrer Batman and Robin made a decent amount of earnings at the box office. As the movie gets trolled for its almost cringe-like antics, the Ticket to Paradise actor also regrets doing the movie albeit the movie not ruining his career.

With a star-studded cast of George Clooney, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris O’Donnell, and, Uma Thurman, the movie went on to make a whopping $232.8 million at the global box office in 1997. The movie exceeded its budget of $160 million which was quite surprising for the people considering how they mercilessly troll the movie.

Following the almost career-ending movie, Clooney admitted in an interview that he indeed regretted starring in the movie in the first place. The Gravity actor had said that he almost destroyed the Batman franchise. George Clooney further stated that he hasn’t allowed his wife to watch Batman and Robin since he wants her to have some respect for the actor.

After his failure as Batman and Robin stood at a record low of 3.7/10 on IMDB and 12% on Rotten Tomatoes, George Clooney realized his failure. In an interview, the actor got candid and told that he felt he was more responsible than just acting in a movie.

He decided that he would choose better scripts since according to Clooney, “you can’t make a good film out of a bad script”. Clooney however did admit that he had a lot of fun while on the sets of Batman and Robin as the movie became a memorable project of his career.

“Some of the best films have been the least fun experiences and some of the worst, I’ve made lifelong friends out of it. It’s the kind of thing where the memory of the film is very different than how it was reviewed.”

Much like many other DC films, Batman and Robin is available to stream on HBO Max.
