The team behind Call of Duty Mobile, Arena of Valor, and Pokémon Unite is working on a new mobile adaptation. TiMi Studios, part of the Chinese Tencent conglomerate, with the collaboration of one of the Xbox Game Studios, World’s Edge, is developing Age of Empire Mobile, which is set to release this year.
World’s Edge was behind the development of Age of Empires 4, which launched back in 2021. The studios are aiming to bring a simplified version of the original games with controls made for mobile.
The Call of Duty Mobile developer is Working on an Age of Empires Mobile Game
Age of Empires is one of the best and most famous strategy franchises ever. First developed by Relic Entertainment and Ensemble Studios. The initial game of this saga was launched back in 1997, and over the years, it has become a cult game.
Playing with different civilizations and technologies to improve and battle the different enemies to win the game. This very well-designed mechanic has evolved with time and new entries in the franchise. Now a mobile version of Age of Empires is in development.
This game has been confirmed to be developed by TiMi Studios, a Chinese company that is part of the Tencent Group. The studio made games like Call of Duty Mobile, Arena of Valor, Pokémon Unite, and many more. Xbox Studio and World’s Edge will be collaborating with Age of Empires Mobile.
Age of Empires 4 is the latest entry in this saga and has become one of the most respected games in the strategy genre. TiMi Studios has a lot of experience in the mobile world, with a very large number of successful titles.
A Cult classic is Coming to Mobile
Age of Empires Mobile is set to be released sometime this year. Thanks to a developer diary video, the studio has confirmed that multiplayer will be a key element in this version of the game. This title will have PvP and PvE modes, so you can enjoy this game in every way possible. Players can collaborate online to enter different competitions that Age of Empire will offer. Teams can build their own civilization, but you can also play single-player and make your own community, gathering materials and building your city.
Dungeons will be added to explore and find new and interesting things. According to both studios behind the development of the game, Age of Empires Mobile will have a beta very soon for Google Play Store users. The classic sound effects and music will be part of the game as well.
