Kanye West is easily among the most problematic celebrities in the whole wide world now. From his ‘very unnecessary’ feud with Taylor Swift to his public support for Donald Trump, the rapper has had enough controversies to make him famous for years to come (via American Songwriter).

And now recently, the Runaway singer has been in the news for his alleged new set of teeth made of titanium. This started a series of assumptions that West had reportedly paid about $850,000 to get a new set of teeth to resemble the iconic villain. However, that is far from the truth for no one really knows why the rapper underwent such an expensive procedure.

Moreover, Kanye West worked alongside Dr. Thomas Connelly and Naoki Hayashi (Master Dental Technician) to design the grill made of titanium, platinum, palladium, and numerous other expensive metals to be fitted on his existing teeth.

Through the procedure which is called fixed prosthodontics, Ye had the surgical model installed, which is completely unique to the rapper (via Daily Mail and Complex).

While it is not the first time West has had procedures done for his teeth. Previously in 2010, Ye had revealed that he had a new set of diamond teeth installed after replacing his bottom row of teeth on The Ellen Show. While many did not believe his claims and some doctors even debunked them (via Complex), this time it was revealed by one of the doctors involved in the procedure that Kanye West had helped design these unique teeth (via Daily Mail).

“Ye was a pleasure to work with every step of the process. His vision for designing unique art transcends the dental progression. The marriage of his vision with dental science has created a new look that is epic!”

Furthermore, Dr. Connelly confirmed to Complex that Ye did not have his teeth removed but only had additional grills installed on top of them,

Even though he reportedly has tax liens worth $1,035,126.56 (via Daily Mail), he still went on to get a dental procedure worth $850,000 shows the Gold Digger rapper clearly needs to sort his priorities out.
