For the paparazzi, clicks, and pics are all that matter. Come hell or high water, the shutterbugs will do anything to get their money shot, not caring about the well-being of the celeb they are photographing. There are hundreds of instances of celebs being thoroughly annoyed at the intrusion. But this time, the photographers have truly exceeded any shame by photographing Bruce Willis at a time he is battling a serious medical issue that’s affecting his ability to live a normal life.

Recently, Bruce Willis was out for coffee with two of his friends, but he wasn’t able to enjoy his beverage in peace. Paparazzi swarmed him the whole time he was there and asked him questions about his Aphasia diagnosis. In a tone-deaf move, none of the celebrity photographers had the thought to give the celeb space or respect him for the situation he is going through. Thankfully, the two friends he was with acted as shields and the photogs weren’t able to get any statement from Willis. However, the Hollywood star doesn’t seem to be doing well.

As per sources, Willis’ condition isn’t good. The outlet reported that at one point, one of his friends addressed him by his name, but he didn’t react. It’s speculated that this reaction or lack thereof, could be a sign of his advancing dementia. Aphasia affects the frontal lobes of the brain and thus causes personality issues, speech disruption, degradation in problem-solving, and more. His family announced in March 2022 that the actor was stepping away from acting following the diagnosis. In an Instagram post, his family wrote:

“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

Well wishes poured in from all over the world for the legendary actor, but all has not been well for Willis’ family, who are engaged in a legal fight with Randall Emmett for allegedly exploiting the 67-year-old star.

Willis and Randall Emmett worked together on several movies before the action star retired from the profession. But Lala Kent, Emmett’s ex-fiancé has alleged that the producer knew about Willis’ issues from as far back as 2020 and still insisted on making him act. She alleged that during a 2020 phone call to her, the Lone Survivor producer broke down and confessed about the actor’s condition. He allegedly said to Kent:

“I can’t do this anymore. It’s just so sad. Bruce can’t remember any of his lines. He doesn’t know where he is.”

However, the producer has denied all such allegations and in a statement to Los Angeles Times said that he never knew about Willis’ issues. But Kent isn’t the only one who has basically alleged that Emmett is lying. Alicia Haverland, the property master of Midnight in the Switchgrass (a film Willis worked on with Emmett), said that the Die Hard actor’s degrading mental condition was visible. She said:

“Our stunt coordinator mentioned he was struggling. Our first AD saw he was struggling. You would have to be blind to not see him struggling.”

Bruce Willis’ attorney, Martin Singer has expressed that Emmett was cognizant of the actor’s mental state and yet continued to pressure him to act. But the producer’s rep informed US Weekly that the actor loved being on set and he wouldn’t have been there if he didn’t want to be. It remains to be seen how this legal battle is settled.
