Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been crowned as the greatest superhero sequel only after a month of its release; the film contained everything that a Spider-Man fan could ask for in a movie, from classic references to jaw-dropping animation, the sequel had it all. And now fans are impatiently waiting for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse that will continue with Miles Morales’ story and his fellow Spider-people.
The 2 hours 16 minutes run time felt like mere seconds, as it featured different variations of Spider-Man in the multiverse, as well as including great soundtracks, Spider-Man 2099’s iconic theme, and the celebrated dialogue “it was a canon event,” adding to the film’s popularity. However, the film ended with a massive cliffhanger, and right from coming out of the theatre fans are excited to watch Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, but it looks like they have to wait a little longer to see the third sequel.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Might Get Delayed
Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse would conclude the story of Miles Morales’, and fans were excited to see the ending of the perfect story in 2024. However, several reports started to come up, stating the final Miles Morales movie will get delayed.
While promoting the new season of Apple TV+’s The After Party, Phil Lord, and Chris Miller gave an exclusive interview to Comicbook, where they talked about the possible delay of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, and that they are “going to take the time necessary” to build the perfect movie, which the fans have loved so much.
“I would say that just like we’re going to take the time necessary to make Beyond the Spider-Verse great,” Lord said before Miller concluded their answer. “And we won’t back into a release date that doesn’t fit.”
This is true because many artists who have been a part of the second film have stated how the artistic conditions necessary to create the film are not possible in a short period of time, describing the production process as particularly difficult, taking a few years of time to create such a masterpiece.
Fans React To The Delay of The Film
The comments of the producers for the final film have disappointed the fans, but looking back at the success of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse which has earned $569.1 million in one month has shown a positive response from fans from all around the globe.
While some fans had been questioning the working conditions of the animators, and how it can affect the health of the artists, they do not want the film to be rushed which will affect the quality of a great story.
People are gonna cry about the delay yet fail to realize that movies take time to make. Not to mention, they’d be complaining about it being rushed.

Another fan stated that they would rather wait for a couple of years to watch Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse with top-notch animation than a disappointing story with poor animation.
i’d rather wait another year or two to get the perfect end to this trilogy than Sony rushing & overworking animators just to pump out a sequel less than great. these people work their asses off to deliver top notch animation so they deserve to get paid a lot more than they are.
