Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlett Witch appeared in the Disney+ show WandaVision and her arc continued with Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, in which she played the antagonist. The film ended with an ambiguous fate for Olsen and there have been no confirmed future appearances of the character.

Rumors started surfacing about her inclusion in Deadpool 3 after there were reports indicating the presence of Magneto in the film. Scarlett Witch had already interacted with a version of Professor X in Multiverse of Madness and since she is revealed to be the daughter of Magneto in the comics, fans were hoping for Olsen’s appearance in the Deadpool sequel.

However, the rumors were quickly squashed as prominent source ‘Can We Get Some Toast’ revealed that there were no plans to include Olsen’s Scarlet Witch or a multiversal variant in the film. The prominent scooper said in an X post,

“Sorry Wanda fans, neither The Scarlet Witch NOR Wanda-838 will be appearing in #Deadpool3. Don’t believe everything you read off 4chan…”

There have been no official confirmations about Olsen’s inclusion or exclusion in the film and with the SAG-AFTRA strikes still going strong, it is unlikely that any news would be revealed soon.

Elizabeth Olsen’s Future In The MCU

After her appearance on Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen has reportedly taken a break from the MCU. The actress continuously worked with Marvel for three years, appearing in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, and Multiverse of Madness. The actress spent two years filming for the movies and series and spent one more year promoting the latter. Hence, she seems to have taken a much-deserved break from the franchise.

Addressing the rumors of quitting the franchise, Olsen said to Variety,

“I’m not ‘returning’ to anything right now. I’m not doing anything for Marvel. Nothing, and it’s not that I’m trying to be cheeky. They’ll let me know when they’ll let me know…And do I miss it? I don’t miss it. I just did two years straight of it. I think the break’s been good for me. I need to build other characters.”

The actress is expected to make an appearance in the WandaVision spin-off series Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Vision Quest, however, neither has been confirmed. Fans might just be able to see her in the event team-up films Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
