While Ahsoka is finally getting a series of her own, Rosario Dawson seems to be interested in another classic character of hers in the MCU. With Charlie Cox’s Daredevil returning with an eighteen-episode series on Disney+, fans are hoping for a return from Dawson’s Claire Temple.

Actress Rosario Dawson played Claire Temple, a nurse on the night shift who helps Charlie Cox’s Daredevil when he is hurt. The character first made an appearance in season one of Marvel Netflix’s Daredevil and went on to appear in subsequent seasons. She also appeared in other Marvel Netflix series such as Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and The Defenders.

Netflix canceled all of their Marvel series, including a potential fourth season of Daredevil, thus ending Rosario Dawson’s tenure as Claire Temple. The chemistry and friendship between Temple and Matt Murdock were one of the highlights of the show and her presence in the General Hospital was of use to Murdock many times during the series.

Charlie Cox returned as Matt Murdock in the MCU. He made cameo appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. In 2022, MCU mastermind Kevin Feige announced that Daredevil will be returning in another Disney+ series called Daredevil: Born Again. The series would have an eighteen-episode season, the first for any of Marvel’s streaming shows. It is set to premiere in 2024.

When Marvel announced that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will return with another series, fans were hoping for other iconic characters from the Netflix show to reprise their roles. However, actors Debora Ann Woll and Elden Henson, who played Karen Page and Foggy Nelson in the Netflix series stated that they were not invited back for the show.

Another iconic character that fans were expecting to return was Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple. Dawson is already headlining Disney’s Star Wars series Ahsoka and would only be a phone call away from her to reprise the role of Temple. And Dawson too seems to be excited to be a part of Marvel again.

Talking about the series revival with The Hollywood Reporter in 2022, Dawson said,

“Yeah, I’d be super curious, but I’m just so stoked for everybody, though. It’s been a long time coming. I was really excited to know that all of our shows are actually part of the MCU now, with Charlie [Cox] and Vincent [D’Onofrio] coming over into these different projects now. So, yeah, 18 episodes [of Daredevil: Born Again]? I’m there! Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, they know where I am.”

The actress reiterated the sentiment during an interview while she was promoting Disney’s Haunted Mansion. When asked if her constant appearances in Disney material mean that the studio likes her presence, she said,

“I hope so! I definitely felt that when I got the call for this role. People keep asking me if I’m gonna be on Daredevil: Born Again, and I’m always like, ‘Well, [Disney] knows where I am.’ So it’s been a pretty remarkable journey to be at this place now and just working at this scale…”

While Dawson is not confirmed to be a part of the series, some of the popular characters from Daredevil are set to make a comeback. Vicent D’Onforio’s Wilson Fisk a.k.a Kingpin has already made his MCU debut in the series Hawkeye and is set to clash with Matt Murdock again in Daredevil: Born Again. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher is also set to appear in the series.
