Shamier Anderson plays the role of Mr. Nobody, another highly skilled assassin in the world of John Wick. He’s a trigger-friendly assassin with an attack dog (Belgian Malinois) by his side, always ready to kick a*s. In John Wick 4, Mr. Nobody is chasing the bounty on Wick’s head that has been increasing ever since he broke the rule of the Continental Hotel group in John Wick 3. What makes this character interesting is that during the movie, he lets John Wick get away time and again.

In a recent interview with Collider, Anderson said,

So when I got the call saying that, you’ll be working with a dog, let alone being in the John Wick 4 franchise, I was like, this is incredible! Do I get a spin-off?!…”

As of now, there are no signs or hints from the cast and crew of John Wick 4 for a spin-off with Mr. Nobody and his trusty canine, however, it has been confirmed that a spin-off will be released in late 2023 or early 2024. Ballerina, a part of the franchise, was teased in the movie and is to be played by Ana De Armas that is expected to be as gritty and vengeful as the John Wick movies so far.

Is there going to be another part after John Wick 4?

Back in 2020, Lionsgate Productions had planned to release John Wick 4 and John Wick 5 filmed back to back, but that did not pan out. Director Chad Stahleski mentioned how he changed plans and decided not to stretch the plot out meaninglessly. For now, John Wick 5 is still open to speculation as there is a big question on the life and death of Wick. On the concrete side of things, we know that there are two spin-offs of the franchise being produced: Ballerina, taking place between John Wick 3 and 4, and, The Continental which is set in the 1970s and is Winston’s (Ian Shane) story. It has been confirmed that there will be a cameo appearance of Keanu Reeves in Ballerina and speculations of a younger John Wick in The Continental.

Keanu Reeves mentions in an interview with Total Film that the decision of making a sequel to John Wick 4 lies in the hands of the fans, thus leaving it as an open and elusive ending.

“You have to see how the audience responds to what we did. The only reason we’ve had a chance to make these movies is that people have liked what we have done. So I think we have to wait and see how the audience responds to it. Hopefully, they’ll like it.”

In just 24 hours, the world has been making a lot of noise about John Wick 4. It is said to put the previous installments to shame. Lionsgate has predicted $110 million in box office sales over the opening weekend, and if it exceeds the threshold, fans can hope to see a lot more than just spin-offs in the future.
