With the recent speculations that Pedro Pascal (from Narcos and The Last of Us fame) will portray the role of Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, fans have gone wild. People now want Ioan Gruffudd (who portrayed the role of Maker in Fantastic Four in 2005) to reprise his role in the upcoming movie.

And with the Maker being an integral part of Avengers: Secret Wars comics, the character could make a place for himself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and be a part of the upcoming movie just like the comics!
Ioan Gruffudd Could Be A Part of Avengers: Secret Wars
With the aggressive demand of the fans, Ioan Gruffudd could very well be a major part of the MCU in the future. In the Secret Wars comics, the Maker creates a life raft that could save him and his allies in case the multiverse perishes.
When that event happens, the life raft is found in Battleworld where Doctor Doom rules. The Maker and Reed Richards join sides to defeat Doctor Doom when the Maker shows his true side. A fight ensues and Maker’s body is ripped apart to molecular levels with each molecule in a universe. This ensures that the Maker is indeed alive and thriving within each universe. If the Marvel Cinematic Universe dared enough, they could easily follow the comics to include the Maker in Avengers: Secret Wars and make Ioan Gruffudd an iconic character in the MCU.
Although nothing has been confirmed or denied yet, fans are indeed dying to see Gruffudd take on the role of evil Reed Richards and ensure further chaos in the multiverse. The upcoming Fantastic Four is slated for a release date of 2 May 2025 in theaters across the world.
