“Benedict was courageous, brave, and selfless. If he hadn’t stepped in, the cyclist could have been seriously injured. Here was Sherlock Holmes fighting off four attackers just round the corner from Baker Street,” Dias said.

Remarkably so, it was very Sherlock-esque, as he reprised his heroic act in Baker Street as it was also his playground in the series.

“He stood there instructing them in the street, shouting, ‘Leave him alone.’ I had hold of one lad and Benedict another. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing. He was very brave. He did most of it, to be honest,” Dias added.

Dias’ statement suggests that the actor felt conscientious about stopping the wrongdoing in his neighborhood. After all, he is a superhero and many looked up to him for that. He didn’t let anyone down and gained a ton of appreciation from fans around the world.

The actor was pretty humble talking about the incident, as per The Sun, the actor said that he “did it out of … well, I had to, you know.”
