Donald Trump’s Lawyer is Otherwise Occupied During His Latest Fraud Trial

She could be a gamer on the side.

SUMMARY

  • Donald Trump's lawyer has gone overboard on her work laptop for the trial of the former US President.
  • A distraction of a laptop in what is a huge trial.
  • Not the first time Alina Habba has been made the centre of attention.

Former President Donald Trump is being served a $250 million fraud lawsuit by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The suit is about Trump misrepresenting his net worth up to billions of dollars. Whether it was over or under his actual worth, Donald Trump would manipulate the numbers to banks and insurers

He served his first day in court yesterday alongside his company and his two adult sons. According to his post on Truth Social, Donald Trump is in court “to fight for my name and reputation.” He also said the case is a sham and was interfering with his 2024 re-election campaign.

One of Trump’s lawyers, Alina Habba, appeared in court with a gaming laptop. In a room filled with business men and women hearing a multi-million dollar trial, a glowing RGB laptop tends to stick out.

What Gaming Laptop Appeared During Donald Trump’s Trial?

Habba brought the ROG Strix G17 G712 to the first day of trial. The laptop features an Intel Core i7 CPU, RTX 2070 SUPER graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and 2TB of SSD storage. The 17-inch screen can perform up to 240Hz with 3ms response time, allowing high frame rates and quick inputs. It currently retails for $1,699.99.

Habba has been assisting Trump with legal issues for a couple of years now. The New York Trial isn’t her first time representing Donald Trump and yet, this is the first time publicly we’ve seen the laptop in question.

It is unknown why she brought her gaming laptop to the trial. She could be a gamer on the side or had to borrow it last minute. Otherwise, purchasing a laptop of this price would be highly unnecessary if she’s not taking advantage of the specs. In addition, the changing RGB lights are distracting in a room full of mute/neutral colors.

Alina Habba, Donald Trump’s Lawyer With A Gaming Laptop

On top of being Trump’s lawyer since 2019, she is also part of MAGA as a Senior Advisor. Her relations with Donald Trump run deep and this trial is their latest battle. Habba has been in a few controversies related to her actions, just like the former President.

Last year, a former legal secretary of Habba sued in July over racially and sexually charged remarks, creating a hostile work environment. Na’syia Drayton, who is black, claims Donald Trump’s lawyer would sing loudly to music containing inappropriate lyrics. Many of the songs contained the n-word and highly sexual content.

Another instance during a staff luncheon, Habba recommended Drayton get the fried chicken meal because “you people like fried chicken.” Drayton has also heard Donald Trump’s lawyer refer to New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is also black, as a “black bitch.”

The New York trial versus Donald Trump and Letitia James wages on as this is expected to last for the next three months until December 22, 2023. Only time will tell if Habba’s gaming laptop will make more appearances at the trial as only the first day happened.
