in fact, the star is reported to be very deeply caring about his family, especially his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who have stayed together through thick and thin and faced numerous challenges together. On one such occasion, Smith was so concerned about kissing another woman who wasn’t her wife that he brought her on set beside him during the kissing scene he was about to engage in with his female co-star.

The film in question is the 2008 romance drama Seven Pounds, which featured him and Rosario Dawson in the lead as the main couple of the film. In a past interview, Dawson revealed that the hard parts of the shoot came when it was time for their characters to get intimate in front of the camera because Smith was very shy around her. She also revealed that during one of their kissing scenes, both of them had to execute the shot with Smith’s wife watching them. She said;

“Here is the guy who was pushing our kiss to like the end and the end and the end of the schedule, so the point was like, ‘OK, I know I don’t smell bad… I know I brushed my teeth…I did the deodorant!.’ He wanted Jada to be on set, and she was letting him know, ‘Baby you really need to bring it! Don’t embarrass me.’ So, she was on my side on this one.”

And thus, with that little reassurance, Smith was able to execute the scenes with perfection and finesse, just as he does with all his other roles.
