As Warner Bros. Discovery inches closer to the last chapter in the old regime of the DCEU, there is a lot of mixed feeling within the fandom about James Gunn’s and Peter Safran’s takeover. From scrapping big names and characters like Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck with their respective version of the DC characters and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 3, the dismantling has now been completed and all that is left for the audience is to wait till they enter the new universe that James Gunn has created.
And now, as the DCEU takes its last breaths with the last upcoming film in the form of The Flash, fans of the old regime have taken a liking to another version of Wonder Woman, and are now demanding that James Gunn take the character and present it in a new light, in the light of how the upcoming video game Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has implemented the character of the Princess of Themyscira.
Fans Demand Gal Gadot Be Replaced With A More Grounded Wonder Woman
While the first Wonder Woman would prove to be one of the biggest hits in the DCEU franchise for Warner Bros. Discovery, the second film starring Gal Gadot not only did not perform well, but it also had a lot of controversy surrounding it with its plot and narration along with the controversial ‘Mr. Handsome Man’ scene. Thus, many fans had been hoping that James Gunn’s takeover would bring a new face as the Princess of Themyscira, which now has become a clear demand by fans after watching the new trailer of the upcoming video game Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

Recently, a Twitter user was quick to point out that in the light of the Guardians of The Galaxy director scrapping the upcoming Wonder Woman 3, he ought to bring a new face of Wonder Woman to the DCU which would be more grounded and relatable. This kind of Wonder Woman has now been captured in the upcoming video game by DC Studios.

While there might be no Wonder Woman 3 in the pipeline as of now, James Gunn is rumored to be keeping Gal Gadot as the character until he can come up with something or someone better.

What Is The Upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League?
With the new PlayStation State Of Play event, the trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was also released, showcasing what fans could expect from the game by DC Studios and Rocksteady Studios. The game is supposed to be an action-adventure game that has a plot that is self-explanatory from its title. We will see the characters from 2021’s The Suicide Squad as playable who are tasked with a seemingly impossible mission.
