The user claimed the information came from a comment by the manga’s author, Riichiro Inagaki, in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. However, other trustworthy sources haven’t confirmed it yet.
Just a day later, on December 21, the same user further asserted that Dr. Stone Season 4 has started production and is confirmed as the final season of the series.

Season 4 of Dr. Stone Will be the Final Season
On Wednesday, @WSJ_manga shared more details from Inagaki about what fans can expect in Dr. Stone‘s fourth season. The next day, Thursday, the user’s another post confirmed that the production of season 4 has started and also revealed that it will be the last season of Dr. Stone.

The leak also hinted that season 4 might be called Dr. Stone: Science Future, but fans are advised to be cautious since there’s no official confirmation yet.
