Set right after the events of Inquisition, the latest entry places an emphasis on action while elevating BioWare’s trademark character customization options as well as a colorful cast of companions. However, this time, the game has a special surprise for PC players, which will catch many gamers off guard!

In a new blog on EA’s official website, it was confirmed that The Veilguard‘s previously leaked release date, October 31st, 2024, was actually true. The blog further revealed details about the various editions of the game, which has got gamers all on board the hype train for BioWare’s next project.

However, one of the most striking things is Dragon Age: The Veilguard price point. If you purchase the game on PS5 or Xbox Series S/X, the standard price is set at $70. However, it’s a completely different story for PC gamers.

Players who purchase The Veilguard on PC only have to pay $60. That’s a straight-up ten-dollar difference between the Xbox Series S/X and PS5 players. There’s no particular explanation for this price difference, but in the last few years, it hasn’t been uncommon for PC versions of the game to cost less than their console versions.

This move by EA and BioWare will surely attract a larger audience for the game and help it boost sales numbers. This is definitely needed for the RPG, considering the development hell it has gone through and the toll it has taken on BioWare. Let’s hope the studio finally gives us a new competitor in the RPG genre.

While it’s great to see we finally have a Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date and information about various editions, fans aren’t particularly hyped about jumping into the game.

Since the game’s reveal, many have questioned the controversial decisions taken by BioWare. However, the studio has revealed that its decisions are completely based on playtesting experience.

Although the franchise had a strong player base during the initial years, the long wait and the information regarding the upcoming title have caused many of them to drift away and move on to other RPGs.
