When the game is released later this year, gamers will have a few reasons to be happy. Both Bioware and EA have confirmed that a couple of much-needed features will now be available at launch!

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Sets a New Industry Trend

RPG fans on Valve’s service will be very pleased with the news BioWare shared today. The upcoming fourth installment of the Dragon Age series will be fully Steam Deck verified on the day of its release. All the interface elements will be clear and legible, with adjusted icons, and the game will work perfectly.

That’s not all, though! The game will be Steam native, which means gamers won’t need the infamous EA app for the game to run. Various issues plague the publisher’s app, and gamers have despised every effort by them to push players to download it.

This exciting news was met with universal praise from the gaming community, who’ve always doubted Electronic Arts’ intentions. Gamers can’t wait to get their hands on the game!

Many gamers have faced issues playing previous games in the franchise on Electronic Art’s App, and this certainly seems like a good omen for the next entry.

Players can’t wait to experience this phenomenal RPG experience on Valve’s handheld. The game’s launch will undoubtedly boost the handheld’s sales, just like how Baldur’s Gate 3 managed to do.

It’s quite interesting to see The Veilguard, of all games, is the one that won’t require EA’s traumatic app to experience, especially when other recent releases from the publisher, such as EA Sports FC 25 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, do.

The RPG is definitely one of the biggest ones in recent memory to scrap this unnecessary requirement. It might be wishful thinking, but it looks like EA has realized that its launcher is gatekeeping a large number of new players.

After years of anticipation, earlier this summer, BioWare and EA finally revealed The Veilgard in full, giving it a fall launch release. Although we’ve learned plenty about the upcoming RPG since then, we still haven’t gotten a specific release date. However, that could change soon.

Alongside revealing RPG’s compatibility with Valve’s service, the developers also assured that the game is “making great progress” towards its expected fall launch window. The details on when it will debut will be shared by the company later this summer.

The game will also have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con, which kicked off on July 25 and will end on July 28, while there’s a high chance we’ll see it next month at Gamescom as well! Hopefully, information on its launch date will be revealed at one of those events.
