Dragon Ball Super continued the story of the anime following the events of Dragon Ball Z. One of the most popular arcs of the series was the Universe 6 Saga.
It featured Champa and Beerus, the Gods of Destruction of their respective universe, picking five fighters each for a tournament. Speaking of Universe 6, it closely resembled Goku and Co.’s Earth, which was revealed as Universe 7.

A Crazy Fan Theory Says Universe 6 is the Real Earth
During the Tournament of Destroyers, many details about Universe 6 were revealed to fans. While most focused on the great backstories of the fighters, there was a bit of speculation about the history of Universe 6’s Earth.
The Earth in Universe 6 was apparently rendered unhabitable following an apocalyptic war. It initially led to the human race’s extinction, but ultimately also destroyed the planet.
Anyways, coming back to the theory, it suggests that showing the fate of Universe 6’s Earth was Dragon Ball Super’s way of breaking the fourth wall.
Well, it doesn’t really seem like a far-fetched theory as the real Earth has always been home to major controversies between countries.
So, in the future, there is a possibility that our real Earth will engulf itself in a ball of fire due to a future nuclear war.
