It looks like only Chi-Chi is annoyed with Goku (in a loving way) in the Dragon Ball universe. And the latest fan reaction says it all. Bandai Namco revealed a new character trailer that shed light on some new warriors like Roasie, Dabura, Yajirobe, and more.
But Goku stole the show. But it wasn’t exactly Goku, but another version who played an antagonist dubbed Zamasu. For context, Goku Black, as he is presented in the universe, is an alternate version of an apprentice of Supreme Kai from Universe 10.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Fans Have a New Favorite
In another Dragon Ball frenzy on the internet ahead of Sparking Zero’s release, fans couldn’t help but express their admiration for another character. While it’s Goku, it’s not exactly Goku, but a body-swapped fighter from the original universe.
On social network Reddit, a fan shared a screenshot of the character in his Super Saiyan Rose transformation and they couldn’t get enough of it.
While Goku is typically depicted with a carefree heart (of a kid), which is also the secret to his power, Zamasu gives off more ‘Saiyan-like’ vibes, which is evil. Many would say that Goku shows power under stress, however; that comes from spending several days being carefree while training.
One fan dubbed Facinggod20 finds the character “hotter” when depicted bad.
Another fan called foms42 has a suggestion and thinks adding a bit of pink would make him appear godly.
One GeekTrollMemeCentral says the character is his favorite villain in the series.
Fans of Dragon Ball went wild with predictions yesterday, and it seems like they guessed one character right, Super Vegito, who was basically the first to be revealed.
Both of Them Share Traits, But Not the Deeds
While the idea of a polar opposite of the series’ protagonist certainly worked like a charm, people should thank False Kamen Rider for that. The character is immensely popular in Japan, which might be the reason Akira Toriyama gave Goku Black a go.
In many ways, he is same as the original protagonist. For one, he’s always seeking strong opponents to test his might. In addition to that, he shares the determination to achieve anything he sets his mind to. He was a calm and patient one as well.
However, he eventually becomes corrupt and unlike Goku, he looks down on humans, thinking of them as God’s biggest mistake. While Zamasu’s actions in the universe are evil, he never realizes it.
Again, a new trailer will bring in some more theories and hopefully we’ll get to see an episode of Zamasu in the upcoming Bandai Namco game too.
