Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is one of the most anticipated games for the franchise in years. Another entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series seems like a dream, but it’s actually happening.
While the release date is still unknown, players can look forward to a new character hitting the Fortnite shops very soon. According to sources, fan favorite character, Future Trunks, is coming to the battle royale in a brand-new collaboration.
Nothing is official yet but look forward to more iconic skins coming to Fortnite in 2024, starting with Future Trunks.
Dragon Ball’s Future Trunks May be Coming to Everyone’s Favorite Battle Royale
Fans of the series know the character for his iconic sword and blue Capsule Corporation jacket. This Trunks’ first appearance saw him deal with Frieza and King Cold in a very fast fashion, showing off his raw power.
In addition, his backstory of being from a dark future was the icing on the cake to make Trunks one of the best heroes in the whole franchise.

This is according to info I received last year from a reliable source. I do not know which design he will use.

The game has already collaborated with the series a number of times to bring iconic characters like Goku and Vegeta to the game. Epic Games would later on add the likes of Goku Black, Gohan, and Frieza to the roster.
With this character on the horizon, this would be the 10th skin for Akira Toriyama’s series. Out of other anime collaborations like Naruto and Attack on Titan, only My Hero Academia has more skins than Dragon Ball with the recent release of the League of Villains skin line.
If the rumors/sources are true and another collaboration is on the way, Toriyama’s hit series could come out ahead in the Fortnite anime record.
More Collaboration Skins Seemingly on the Way
When the famous anime first entered the iconic battle royale, there was a ton of effort in the collaboration as a whole. Not only were skins of Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and Beerus offered but Epic Games introduced locations from the series on the map like Kame House. Also, mythic items were introduced too like the Nimbus Cloud and the Kamehameha.
Could this mean the game is doing another collab event later this year with Trunks? Maybe, but it’s not guaranteed.
When Goku Black released during Chapter 4: Season 2, Epic Games did not bring back anything from the previous collaboration into the game. It was simply a skin release for fans of the character.
This can also be the case with Trunks. While fans would love to see more character skins like Majin Buu or Broly, only time will tell if Fortnite brings back Dragon Ball in a big way.
