Everything that we have seen in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has been a visual treat so far. But we are yet to see certain elements, like Buu absorbing his victims to gain new abilities and strength to make battles harder for opponents.

Though several of the video game adaptations of the series have featured it, Budokai series does it the best. Budokai Tenkaichi games too have that but it isn’t in-depth like Budokai games. If that’s coming to the upcoming Bandai Namco game, we can expect it to do it better that the ones came before it.

More than the battles, there is a delight in seeing things in fighting video games. Take Dragon Ball games for instance. One of the interesting things fans like to see are the absorptions performed by Buu. That one character is in himself a treasure trove of characters.

Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, which has allowed Sparking Zero developers to turn things up a notch. Fans were discussing about the absorptions from the series and were seen desiring to see them in the game.

The image showcases a range of variants of the character as he absorbed others in Budokai 2. Fans remember that.

They don’t want every absorption but they do have suggestions for what would be satisfactory for them.

Maybe these transformations will beat Frieza’s as fans were debating about recently.

Absorbing Vegito Was a Bad Idea in the Original Anime

There are characters that possesses ability to absorb energy from their rivals but Buu’s transformations remains unique. He dispatches a part of his body that’s liquified and appears like goo that covers an individual by sneaking behind them.

However, his decision to absorb Vegito wasn’t really a great idea. When he was absorbed by the evil entity, Vegito defused back to Goku and Vegeta who then frees up all of the ones absorbed. It was all a plan all along.

While we wait for the upcoming Spike Chunsoft game to be released, the new gameplay showcase is due on August 21, 2024. Maybe we’ll se some of these transformations there. If the Bandai Namco game has included these absorptions, they need to outshine the ones shown in Budokai series.

What do you think about absorptions in the series? We would like to know about it in the comments section below.
