According to the official Bandai Namco Entertainment America website, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has received an official “Teen” rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), the organization that rates video games in North America. The game’s content descriptions include Blood, Suggestive Themes, and Violence.
The games usually get a rating a few months before they are ready for release. For example, DBZ Kakarot was rated two months before the official launch, and FighterZ was rated one month before. However, since there has been no announcement about the launch date for Sparking Zero, the rating could mean that the game is complete.
Additionally, the game could now be in its “polishing” phase to sort out any issues and prepare for a smooth launch. Fans are now speculating that the game is set to launch sometime in 2024, possibly in the time frame of September to November. DB Xenoverse 2 is releasing in May for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so it won’t be coming in the first half of the year.

Some fans have also said that Dragon Ball will celebrate its 40th anniversary in November 2024, so the game may release then. Players are also celebrating the “blood” content that’s seen in the rating and have said that as soon as pre-orders are open, they will be pre-ordering it, as the gameplay seen in the showcase earlier this month has them convinced.
