Bandai Namco and Dimps Corporation announced a massive free update for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 that arrived on October 12 with new events, new battle modes, and several new features, as well as a new downloadable content roadmap for the game. A new version of the game will also be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2024, following the new DLC.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was released in 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, and a huge update was released to celebrate the game’s seventh anniversary. The new update brought exciting additions to the game, including a new 3v3 Cross Versus battle mode, a new event called Festival of Universes featuring new rewards and lobbies, and the Ultra Instinct Awoken Skill.

The update also introduced the Welcome Campaign, which will run from October 12 to October 19, allowing players to earn login bonus rewards and a limited-time free trial for DLC characters during this period. The characters include some of the most powerful characters in the game, including Rose Goku Black, Goku (Ultra Instinct), and SSGSS Vegito.

The new update also brought avatar level cap unlocks and various feature improvements.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will also be released for the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and “more” content is also mentioned; however, it hasn’t been revealed if the new content will be new game modes, cosmetics, or something else. The teaser trailer also revealed the Deluxe Edition, which features early access to Future Trunks and Super Pass 1-4. whereas the Special Edition has early access to Future Trunks, Super Pass, and the Hero of Justice Pack Set. The teaser trailer ends with stay tuned, meaning that players can expect more announcements in the future.
