Dragon’s Dogma 2 was launched recently, and fans everywhere showed this game an incredible amount of support. It is on its way to becoming a success; it’s rare that fans see a very deep, open-world role-playing game like this from Capcom. And now that it’s here, it definitely shows how much work went into designing this world.

But just like every role-playing game out there, some things in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are just unfair. Imagine having to earn a very small amount of money just because the missions don’t pay so well and loot is not very valuable. Also, imagine having to scrape the bottom of every location to find a certain location to find a certain item. There are some obscure solutions to these problems, and they are pretty easy to employ. Please keep in mind that some minor spoilers follow.

Yes, every game out there has a currency, be it online or single-player. They require players to earn some currency to be able to equip their characters with better equipment. The same story goes for Dragon’s Dogma 2. Players have needed a lot of gold to get by in this game.

The other thing they require is a wakestone, which is a piece of equipment that allows players to revive themselves and dead NPCs. They can come in handy if players find out that their pawns have caught dragonplague and destroyed the whole city.

Now, gold farming in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is pretty straightforward according to YouTuber PhillyBeatzGames; the first thing players need to do is go to Melve and get a room at an inn. Once that’s done, they need to get to the shop in Melve. There is a bench in front of it; just sit there and pass one day.

Once that’s done, go inside the shop and buy five apples and five grapes. After doing this, go out and pass another day and buy five apples and five grapes once again. Repeat this process by the time you hit the third day, and players will start seeing that their fruits have started ripening.

One thing players should remember is that for this trick to work, they need to make sure none of their pawns have Logistician ability active. Those pawns usually take fruit from the player’s inventory and turn it into dry fruit. This would ruin the whole plan.

As fruits started ripening, players needed to go ahead and deposit them at their inn; this would stop the clock on them, and they would not ripen any further. Now players can deposit up to 99 of each item at the inn, so they can repeat these steps till they have 99 of the ripe fruits in their inn storage.

Now, all they have to do is grab an oxcart to Vernworth, or just teleport there and find a vendor at checkpoint rest. Just sell all your ripe fruit to this vendor and make a ton of profit.

This is simpler than farming gold; just find a riftstone in any of the towns, search for a pawn, and make sure you select level 2 as both minimum and maximum. Also, don’t forget to turn off quest knowledge. Now hire any pawns that appear.

Once this is done, exit the rift and sit on a bench. Just pass a day, and you get Wakestone shards. Keep on repeating this hiring and passing of days. Every three of these shards make a wakestone.
It is not as hard as one might think, but try and do this before you have any attachment with your pawns, as they just walk away once you get new ones.
But one must understand, that these tricks are not for everyone as they require them to spend a lot of precious time just sitting and passing days. But for those who are up for the challenge, days of poverty Dragon’s Dogma 2 are way behind.
