Dragon’s Dogma 2 is due to launch on March 22, and the Capcom title has promised to improve aspects of its predecessor. Directed by Hideaki Itsuno, the action RPG is looking to surpass its predecessor, which was released back in 2012. Players again adopt the role of the ‘Arisen‘ and must take on various quests, battling monsters to progress through the game.
The title will be launching on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows in a matter of days, and ahead of that release, there have been some interesting posts on the game’s Reddit page. The character creator, which was released early, has allowed players to experiment with their creations, and one player has created a fitting tribute to our favorite Terminator.
Character Builds in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The posting on the Dragon’s Dogma 2 subreddit shows a character creation by Spider1132, and as can be seen below, the level of detail is unreal. The focus on the metallic plating and robotic eye is well done and would no doubt have taken some time to complete.
The comments on the posting saw heaps of praise for the build and, perhaps unsurprisingly, a raft of well-known quotes from the man himself. Who wouldn’t like to see Arnie walking up to someone’s camp and telling them that he needs their clothes, boots, and horse? A fitting tribute to the Terminator franchise.
We doubt that the former California governor has seen the character creation, which uses the likeness of one of his greatest movie roles, but if he did, we think he would be impressed with the work and detail that has been put into this. How long will it be before we see a character build for his role in Batman & Robin? It may be difficult to imagine a Victor Fries likeness, but there may be someone willing to attempt it.
Dragon’s Dogma 2, a Step up in Terms of Narrative?
While the game is still a few days away, the character creator was released early, and some of the creations from players have been frightening, to say the least. However, we must applaud the creativity of players, as some of the detail that has been put into the character builds has been eye-catching.
Releasing the character creator early may be seen as a stroke of genius by Capcom. Given the time that players are dedicating to the builds, it would then mean that the hype for the game itself would intensify, and players would sink countless hours into the title.
It is hopeful that its sequel will surpass the original title, which was released 12 years ago. Given the latest developments in technology, it would be easy to see how this would be successful, and Hideaki Itsuno has assured fans that the narrative, which was sadly lacking in the first game, will be greater with the soon-to-be-launched title.
