J.K Rowling doesn’t even have the support of her star boy, Daniel Radcliff when it comes to her transphobia controversy. The Harry Potter series author may be the world’s most successful author, but her lewd comments against women and transgender rights, for instance, raised questions about government plans to allow people to self-identify as another gender, has surely put her in the bad books of her millions of fans.

J.K. Rowlings’s transphobia controversy put the fate of Max’s upcoming Harry Potter reboot, in danger as Twitter activists attempt to organize a mass boycott for the franchise’s live-action Max series, due to Rowling’s involvement in the series. Now, the controversial author has come forward and admitted that she barely cares about their opinions, and has stocked up her champagne for the success of the upcoming series.

Transphobic J.K. Rowling Remains Nonchalant Against Twitter Activists

Harry Potter series author, JK Rowling may have earned all the success in the world, but her opinions against the LGBTQ+ community make one wonder if the lady truly progressed. As Twitter activists attempt a mass boycott of the upcoming Harry Potter reboot, Rowling has come forward and displayed uncaring behavior once again.

Sarcastically responding to calls for a boycott, including a strong ultimatum from feminist author Burçin Tetik, the British author, who also prefers calling herself a philanthropist, declared:

“Dreadful news, which I feel duty-bound to share. Activists in my mentions are trying to organize yet another boycott of my work, this time of the Harry Potter TV show. As forewarned is forearmed, I’ve taken the precaution of laying in a large stock of champagne.”

Twitter activists include German author, Tetik, also an editor at Deutsche Welle, who strongly stated that any participation in the upcoming series would be equivalent to making a political statement against the transgender community. Not only this, Daniel Radcliffe, who owes his career to the famous author, also condemned her.

J.K. Rowling has been extremely vocal about her views against the LGBTQ+ community. She once liked a tweet that compared hormone therapy to antidepressants. While Twitter activists continue to rage, it’s only fair to say, like-minded Donald Trump may be making plans to reach out to the British author for some campaigning advice.

J.K. Rowling’s Transgender Attacks Engulfed Max’s Harry Potter Live-Action Reboot

J.K. Rowling may continue to live in a fallacy, with HBO and Max CEO Casey Bloyd coming to her defense, and calling the whole fiasco a “very online conversation”, but much damage has already been done as the transgender community continues to stand together against the upcoming series.

As admitted by Bloyd, Max’s Harry Potter live-action reboot may be a story that is “incredibly affirmative and positive and about love and self-acceptance,” its early boycott stems from Rowling’s close association with the upcoming series.

HBO Ceo believes J.K. Rowling’s insights are essential for the live-action series

While her insight is extremely helpful, Rowling’s beloved Harry Potter himself was one of the first actors from the cast to speak against the author. Daniel Radcliffe released a statement:

“While Jo is unquestionably responsible for the course my life has taken, as someone who has been honored to work with and continues to contribute to The Trevor Project for the last decade, and just as a human being, I feel compelled to say something at this moment. Transgender women are women.

“Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I.”

Some of the strongest tweets against J.K. Rowling include Out Magazine’s tweet: “We don’t want any new Harry Potter content if noted transphobe J.K. Rowling is involved,” and podcaster Dave Gonzales’ tweet. The Harry Potter reboot doesn’t have a release date yet. Rowling serves as the executive producer on the show that retells the story of the original seven best-seller books.
