While both are undoubtedly huge stars in the WWE world, Cena has overtaken Johnson in terms of the earnings they made on WWE products and merchandise. As WrestleTalk puts it, there is a huge difference between the earnings of the two stars. Cena earned an estimated $2,649,836 while Johnson earned $992,114 based on their merchandise sales on WWE Shop.
The huge gap is indeed shocking and it seems Cena has a greater hold over fans than Johnson. It is also interesting to see Stone Cold leading the pack, reminding fans of his lasting legacy and the impact that he created during his time in the WWE.
Dwayne Johnson is Excited for his Live-Action Moana Film
It was announced that Dwayne Johnson would star in the live-action adaptation of the Disney animated film Moana. He voiced Maui in the film and is set to play the character in the adaptation. The actor recently appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he expressed his excitement about the project.
He told the audience that he would be shooting the film very soon and expressed his excitement. Additionally, he also revealed that Lin-Manuel Miranda would be returning to do the music for the film as well. He said,
“My next project that I will be shooting is a live-action version of Moana. I am the real-life Maui. Thank you guys very much. I’m so excited about this. It’s such an incredible story that resonates with everybody around the world, especially young girls. Tommy Kail is going to direct it and coming back to do all the music of Moana is Lin-Manuel Miranda.”
The 2016 animated film was a big hit back then and Johnson seems keen on translating that magic on live-action as well. It remains to be seen whether he manages to enthrall audiences yet again with this project.
