Dying Light 2 Gets New Roadmap with Huge Amount of Content

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is getting more content scheduled for this October and beyond. The IGN exclusive Roadmap trailer gives fans a sneak peek of all the upcoming changes. Some of the new content includes co-op missions, returning characters, customization options, and the introduction of firearms.

All of these changes and more are sure to shake things up in Dying Light 2. Players can expect these changes to be released very soon as the roadmap starts next month and ending likely in February 2024, Dying Light 2’s second anniversary which already has an event planned.

Dying Light 2’s Many Updates: What To Expect

The game’s last major update was in June called Good Night Good Luck Update. Like the name suggests, the nighttime aspect of Dying Light 2 changed to provide a more horror-like feeling. In addition, parkour and movement changes were introduced to hopefully give players better “luck” to tackle zombies.

Techland dropped this roadmap so soon after their recent update called Summertime, Dying Light 2 players have a wealth of content to look forward to going into 2024.

New co-op missions and board quests are part of this roadmap. Moreover, tower raids and replayable GRE Anomalies will give players more challenges to take on alone or with a group of friends. Returning from the first game, Tolga and Fatin are making their way to Dying Light 2.

Other gameplay features include new enemy types, executions/finishers, Nightmare difficulty, Nightrunner Tools to New Game+, and weapons dropped by enemies. These changes will make playing Dying Light 2 different from any past playthrough.

Furthermore, new weapons are being added such as knives, polearms, and The Scorpio. Originally introduced in the 2019 Gameplay Trailer, The Scorpio is finally coming to Dying Light 2. The weapon has two modes, range and melee, both dealing tons of damage.

There will also be a new weapon rarity and elemental effects added to thrown weapons. The last weapon Dying Light 2 is adding are firearms. Guns are coming to the game and will make taking out hordes of zombies even more enjoyable. 

Techland is introducing some quality of life changes that should hopefully make playing Dying Light 2 more streamline. Weapons can now be repaired alongside dismantling gear and mods.

Some other changes Dying Light 2 teased include cross-gen saves, text chat, healing consumables, and explosive knives/throwing stars.

Events and crossovers will continue to happen as they have a Halloween and Winter Celebration planned. Along with crossovers for Vampire: The Masquerade and For Honor, a two year anniversary event is scheduled as well.

More outfits, more weapons, and more fun is coming to Dying Light 2 later this year. As Techland continues to improve the game, these new features should keep players engaged for the next few months.
