Baldur’s Gate 3, just like many other RPGs that came before, relies heavily on partners/companions by your side in the journey to save the world. However, it has been observed that not all of them are reliable.

Players have experienced deceit by their companions as they tend to leave on their own, mid-journey, which makes things difficult for players. They feel that Dragon Age: Origins was much better at managing this aspect of their game, even though it came out 14 years ago.

Baldur’s Gate 3 thrives on the stories and dialogue shared by companions

Companions are an important part of Baldur’s Gate 3, as they help the story expand and offer various side quests with exciting lore and rewards. Conversing with companions is truly a joy in the game. The only difficulty one faces is when they leave.

People have started to acknowledge the things Baldur’s Gate 3 lacks, despite it being the most celebrated game of 2023 and Larian needs to fix this before the problem becomes too big for them to handle.

Companions are a huge part of the Baldur’s Gate 3 experience, and the only way through is with them; they are the backbone of our character’s journey and expand the lore of the game with their conversations and side quests.

Players are missing out on half of Baldur’s Gate 3 Content

A large part of Baldur’s Gate 3’s lore is due to the side characters/companions that join your party; Interacting with them opens up their lore and side quests, which is a large part of what makes Baldur’s Gate 3 a unique experience.

Most players are unaware that interacting with companions is one of the most important aspects of the game. It is necessary to interact with companions outside of combat, not just when an exclamation mark appears over their heads.

Ignoring or not starting a companion’s quests can lead them to leave the party, permanently, taking away amazing content and stories with them that get lost forever. It is important to interact with companions regularly to learn more about their stories and quests, as it makes them invested in the game with you and helps you form a healthy bond with them that might last for a long time.

However, this does not solve the problem that the players are facing due to a companion’s sudden absence and Larian Studios needs to find a solution to this problem to enrich the experience of players. Having said that, there is no doubt that Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the best games, and a little improvement in the problems faced by the players will only nourish and enrich the overall experience.
