Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez / Echo will take center stage in the upcoming eponymous series which is also expected to shed light on her past and Native American roots. As the series inches closer to its premiere date, promotional material is making its way to social media, generating hype for the much-awaited project that will return viewers to MCU’s street side of affairs.
Following her introduction in Hawkeye, Maya Lopez / Echo will be the focal point of the new series, and a new poster promoting the series highlights her character in an unexpectedly refreshing fashion. The newly released poster is quickly winning over fans who have been calling out the franchise for its mundanity and unoriginality in the past couple of years. Here is what fans are saying about Echo‘s new poster.
New Echo Poster Impresses Fans Ahead of the Show’s Debut
Echo will focus on the titular character with actress Alaqua Cox in the role. A new poster promoting the show’s release is gaining fan approval on social media, despite the show’s lead star not being featured on it, unlike the promotional material for other MCU projects. Instead, the poster features the use of American Sign Language (ASL) to spell out the show’s title.
However, this particular aspect of the new poster is precisely why fans are impressed.

Someone give a raise to whoever did that.

I’ve gotten so used to the “floating heads” posters which are awful.
This one is actually really good 🔥— Lachesis (@LachesisHD) January 5, 2024
Thats really cool poster

Now that’s something nice 🙌

As you can gauge from the fan reactions, the response to the new Echo poster is positive as it highlights the titular character with an unexpected twist. Since Maya Lopez’s hearing inability is a major part of the character, she often relies on sign language. As a result, the poster features the show’s title spelled out through sign language instead of the traditional face shots that have become a jarring and mundane mainstay of MCU posters.
