Netflix’s One Piece Live Action has become a super hit series, and more people are tuning in and joining the evergrowing fandom. The journey of Monkey D. Luffy to become the King of the Pirates is one of the best stories out there. After season one was critically acclaimed, Netflix renewed the show for a second season, and Eiichiro Oda announced the news to the fans.
While announcing the news to the fans, he gave a subtle hint of Tony Tony Chopper making his live-action debut in One Piece Live-Action season 2. After he finished with the announcement, the camera slowly shifted to his canvas, where he was seen drawing Tony Tony Chopper. Most people believe that Chopper will be a tough character to make since he is a reindeer. But Eiichiro Oda, being a genius, gave the fans a rough sketch of how the character would look in the live-action.
Eiichiro Oda Teases Fans With A Live-Action Tony Tony Chopper Drawing
Eiichiro Oda is busy drawing the manga panels of the Egghead Island arc. The Egghead Island arc marks the beginning of the final saga in One Piece. Even though he is busy with the final saga, he did not forget about the live-action season that is in the works, which performed admirably and won everyone’s hearts. But the fans often worry about how season 2 will line up with Tony Tony Chopper. Moreover, One Piece Live Action will portray Chopper on screen, which is still a million-dollar question.
But among such commotion, Eiichiro Oda came up with a solution. He drew a potential look for Tony Tony Chopper for the upcoming season. In Volume 107 of One Piece, he included a different portrayal of Chopper with longer legs and a white mouth. Other features remain the same. It might be a way of helping the producers and directors on how to introduce the new character.
Even though Netflix has not confirmed Chopper’s look, the drawing could pave the way for them on how to approach the matter. Creating Chopper by CGI will cost a lot, so the most efficient way is to cast any child actor. These all are just speculations. Either way, the decision needs to be passed by Oda for them to continue.
