It has become the most concurrently played Japanese game ever on Steam. According to Steam Charts, the game is currently the number one title in terms of concurrent players.

It has over 972,000 current players and the time peak player count has crossed the 1 million mark. Pocket Pair announced this milestone via the official X/Twitter handle thanking the players and saying that it is glad the players are enjoying the game. Palworld is the 2nd highest-played game in the history of paid games on Steam just behind Cyberpunk 2077.

Palworld has left behind popular titles such as Grand Theft Auto V, Elden Ring, Call of Duty, and many others. Elden Ring is currently ranked 17th and Call of Duty is ranked 13th. The peak player count for Palworld is currently 1,005,629 and it’s in the 5th spot behind titles like Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, and Lost Ark.

The game has left behind Elden Ring which is now 6th place with an all-time peak player count of 952,523 which was in March 2022. Palworld has passed the all-time peaks of Call of Duty and became the 12th-highest peak title in Steam History. It also has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with over 25 thousand reviews.

The game is also the best-selling Steam on revenue and has outperformed the likes of Warframe, Baldur’s Gate 3, and EA Sports FC 24. Palworld sold over a million copies in just eight hours of its release and crossed the two million mark in less than 24 hours. The game went on to sell over 3 million copies in just 40 hours. Elden Ring sold twelve million copies in a month across the world and if Palworld keeps its current pace it might surely match or even outsell Elden Ring.

The game has left behind major titles like Elden Ring and Call of Duty.

This major success can be attributed to the game’s popularity and how it has hit the right spots that players always wanted in Pokemon titles such as crafting and survival as well as its launch on Game Pass will only increase the numbers. Palworld being on the top of the charts is extra impressive as the game was being seen as a scam and the developer had to release a statement assuring the players.

What are your thoughts as Palworld keeps on breaking records? Are you playing the game or look forward to playing anytime soon? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
